Our history

For years we were helping authors print books cost-effectively. Our self-publishing company, ZDocs, helps authors all over the states and even outside of the states print high-quality books at affordable rates. We thought we were doing a bang-up job until one day one of our authors asked our president, Phil Davis, why we couldn't help him sell books. This question prompted the creation of The Author Platform and our Self-Publishing in a Box program.

Over the next year, ZDocs continued to hear from our authors and it became clear that what was really hurting self-published authors were cost-effective ways to promote books. About this time, new Internet tools were hitting the market. Podcasting, Blogging, Social Networking, Online press releases, online book clubs, Google books, Yahoo 360 and many others. We began to see how ZDocs could help authors promote their books using these tools.
